THINGS THAT CHANGE WHEN YOU HAVE A BABY

10 12 2007
  • You finally stop to smell the roses, because your baby is in your arms.
  • Where you once believed you were fearless, you now find yourself afraid.
  • The sacrifices you thought you made to have a child no longer seem like sacrifices.
  • You respect your body … finally.
  • You respect your parents and love them in a new way.
  • You find that your baby’s pain feels much worse than your own.
  • You believe once again in the things you believed in as a child.
  • You lose touch with the people in your life whom you should have banished years ago.
  • Your heart breaks much more easily.
  • You think of someone else 234,836,178,976 times a day.
  • Every day is a surprise.
  • Bodily functions are no longer repulsive. In fact, they please you. (Hooray for poop!)
  • You look at your baby in the mirror instead of yourself.
  • You become a morning person.
  • Your love becomes limitless, a superhuman power.
  • You finally realize that true joy doesn’t come from material wealth.
  • You now know where the sun comes from.
  • You’d rather buy a plastic tricycle than those shoes that you’ve been dying to have.
  • You don’t mind going to bed at 9 p.m. on Friday night.
  • You realize that the 15 pounds you can’t seem to get rid of are totally worth having.
  • You discover an inner strength you never thought you had.
  • You no longer rely on a clock — your baby now sets your schedule.
  • You take the time for one more hug and kiss even if it means you’ll be late.
  • You learn that taking a shower is a luxury.

6 Months Exclusive Breastfeeding

Selamat yah Pie….today you pass the 6 months exclusive breastfeeding program. :-) . Engga nyangka juga bisa..padahal kalo diinget-inget I almost want to gave up, many times when I did shopping, I went through the babies milk alley and checking every brand from the super expensive milk to the most chippie product, and I always did some thinking whether I have to buy just 1 can “just in case” my breastmilk couldn’t fullfill my baby needs or I don’t need to have an emergency milk supply. In the end, I always came down with a choice for not bought it. So for the last 6 months I always feel insecure whether my milk supply is enough or not, cause i’m a working mom, it’s different when your a house wife where you have your all day time with your baby, me , since I’m going back to work, I have spend so little time with my baby, just see him in the morning and at night….and the result for today, yess..it’s enough. Not to much not to little but just enough. Many things happen during my breastfeeding program, from working till late at night, have this stress out moment, socializing moment with my gals, my bad mood times, that sort of things made me unable to do the pumping session cause just didn’t came out easily. But having this positive mind, I tried not to be panic easily, the theory somehow was just true. If you have positive mind, if you really have an intention to breastfeed your baby, than it’s enough you don’t have to add formula milk for your baby. Ini bener-bener salah satu kebanggaan tersendiri buat gue, bukan buat pamer-pamer ke orang lain..just for my self, and today I just want to enjoy the nice feeling I have right now :-) . An the last thing to say, thank you for all the people that support me ;-) .
